i loved watching you on the show and learnt how to bake some amazing cakes, thought you should have won but there are no losers in the competition, all of you were great and i cant wait to start trying some of your recipes on your website
Have thoroughly enjoyed watching the bake Off. Even my 6 year old son would sit and watch it with me. Am now going o enjoy this site and hopefully try out a fe recipes.
Hi Ruth, I've just caught the finale on i-player, and I have to say I so hoped you'd win, not only because of your wonderful baking, but also because it was obvious that was you on those trays. Your cakes were not just food or technique, they were art! And like any art, some will like it better than others, some will understand it better than others… and to me you're in my Louvre of baking. Thank you for being so inspiring.
I don't normally like reality TV talent competitions – can't stand Masterchef! But The Great British Bake Off was different. Partly because of the presenters – I just love Sue Perkins – and largely because of the contestants. You all had lovely personalities. That must be something to do with the baking bug. I have a theory that baking a cake is all about nurturing and care and love. And it showed in abundance, especially with the final three. If there could have been two, or even three, winners, that would have been ideal. Anyway, well done. And thanks for this blog. It is full of inspiration!
