Hello!
Maybe it is too soon … I need to work something out as I am planning to work my way through all your lovely recipes!!!!
I have just discovered your blog via the Thrifty Mrs … I have been watching the Great British Bake Off … me and Mr Plum love everything you make! Yum!!!
I also love to bake … and am trying to figure out how to get back into the kitchen with a 3 week old baby in tow
Looking forward to this weeks instalment of the Bake Off – hope you got through!!!
Hi Ruth, Really think you had that #GBBO and reckon you were robbed. Your cooking was clearly masterful, consistent and visibly delightful. All the very best, Pollee Tickle, Twitter.com
I have just started to teach myself the art of baking and whilst it's just recepies it'sa big thing for me(I couldn't boil an egg at one point!!!), but i'm ticking along nicely and getting my confidence and this has been a wonderful programme and I really enjoyed all the ideas.
Ruth, I think your baking is completely inspirational, everything you do and the way you do it oozes professionalism and I'm certain its only a matter of time before your own recipe book is on the shelves and its on my Christmas list. Keep up the good work!
Hi Ruth
Just wanted to say a massive well done in the bake off! I've thoroughly enjoyed watching every week and you've inspired me to want to try baking something different – I will be donning my pinny this weekend!
Best wishes,
Katie xx

Hi Ruth
I have just Emailed your link to my daughter – the recipes sound delicious, and can't wait to try them.
The programme has been such an inspiration to watch every week – really made me get out my apron again.
It was even more interesting for us, as we come from the same village as you, before we moved down to the south.
Good luck with the blog – and look forward to buying the book – which I am sure you will soon be bringing out.
Love Babs
Congratulations Ruth, loved watching your skills each week on the GBBO programme, you should have clearly won I too love to bake but working full time only have the weekends. Hi Ruth
I've just discovered 'The Pink Whisk' after watching the final GBBO. Thought you should have won, as your bakes were consistently good. Looking forward to trying some of your recipes. With best wishes for whatever you decide to do in the future.

Hi Ruth:
You were my favorite all through GBBO. I'm glad you did so well. Edd was my second favorite, so I was really glad when you both made the final. I was so glad when they told us on the final about your blog. Lots of reading to catch up on all the blogs you've already written.
Take care,
Transplanted American in Surrey
Hi – I couldn't wait to get into work to view your web-blog and I think it's fantastic (bookmarked already)! Gutted you didn't win GBBO. Will definately be trying out some of your recipes!

I just discovered the great british bake off on iplayer, and i'm not gonna lie: i watched all the episodes in 2 days! i'm also more than a little obsessed with baking, but i could never match your stamina and efficiency.
i thought your food in the show looked amazing (and for the record, i thought the blackberry/mint/ginger cake sounded divine), but mostly i loved the way you handled yourself during the competition. i think it's so lovely that you were happy to help your competitors, and such a gracious almost-winner.
i'm so so pleased you've started a blog, so i can try my hand at some of your recipes!
all the best,
anne (also a transplanted american)
I agree with the comments above! You were my favourite Ruth and I really wanted you to win. You did brilliantly…and always so efficient and neat when working!
I'm wondering if you ever bake any low fat recipes? I love baking but am on a low fat diet at the moment and really missing my baking (although I did make a low fat banana and sultana loaf with my two year old twins last night…they love baking already!) – I would love to try out any ideas you have.
Keep up the great work!

Hey! I watched you bake in the Great British Bake-off – you've probably heard this before – but you did fantastic!
I made cinnamon rolls last week, and am going to try bread this week…for the first time!
I'll be back soon! x
I'm from Scotland, I'm 15, and I love to bake! So I shall be visiting your blog often for ideas
Love your blog!! The comments and pictures are great. Its good to see what the recipe looks like at different stages – how many times have we all peered into the bowl / pan and muttered "surely its not supposed to look like that??" The GBBO was a fantastic show (except that it was frustrating that I couldn't taste everything!)
I will be reading your blog regularly for inspiration and trying out the recipes on family and colleagues
HI Ruth, Have thoroughly enjoyed watching the GBBO and your performance in it. A shame someone had to win and lose. I've always dabbled in cookery but now I'm retired I've had basic cookery lessons and have become more adventurous in the kitchen. GBBO and your exploits have inspired me to go further. Good Luck with everything that you do in the future.
Pete.
I just watched the final of The GBBO and with my husband and I am not ashamed to say that I cried when you lost! You did such a wonderful job and with such poise and compassion for the other competitors – you are a real inspiration. I am so glad to have found your blog and wish you and all your boys all of the best!
Sarah
I am so glad i found your blog! This is brill and very inspirational!!! X
Loved you on GBBO! X
Watched GBBO with 2 of my 3 boys and they always got hungry halfway through….loved everything you made on the programme and felt very inspired by your approach. Have always loved baking and will be following your blog with interest. Apart from your obvious skill as a baker, I think you have a real knack for explaining and illustrating the recipes. Please keep it up! Sarah
You've been an inspiration to me Ruth, you make baking look so effortless! I am 29 & on maternity leave with my baby son (18 wks old) & I'm inspired by how you've found your place in an all male household which I like

Your presentation is first class, you're 'my winner'. I've just found your blog & will be trying out some cupcake recipes this weekend.
Hi Ruth. We have just watched the Great British Bake Off here in South Africa. I was rooting for you the whole way and really think you were the most creative and innovative. I so wanted you to win. BUT… congratulations on second place. You are an inspiration to all us! Louise Simon’s Town, South Africa
Thank you Louise – glad you’ve enjoyed the series! Xx
